Maggie Kane, DVM
Surgical Resident
Dr. Kane was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Richmond, where she also enjoyed playing and coaching lacrosse. During her summers, she gained hands-on experience working as a veterinary technician, which solidified her passion for veterinary medicine.
She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. After graduation, Dr. Kane completed a one-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
In 2024, Dr. Kane was thrilled to return to her home state of Maryland, where she began a surgical internship at Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists (CVSS). Following the internship, she was accepted into the three-year surgical residency program at CVSS, where she continues to advance her expertise in veterinary surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Kane enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing lacrosse, and traveling with her dog, Dewey. She has a particular interest in advanced dog training and veterinary sports medicine.
