Mindy Wolfe, DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Wolfe grew up in Transfer, PA, and always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian when she was a young child. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Thiel College in Greenville, PA. During this time, she volunteered for her local humane society where she fostered many dogs and cats (a few of which were foster failures and ended up becoming a permanent part of her family). Dr. Wolfe also devoted any spare time with a local veterinary practice, where she spent hundreds of hours shadowing and working as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant for four years.

Dr. Wolfe then moved to Columbia, MO to attend veterinary school at the University of Missouri. Upon graduation from veterinary school, she completed a one-year rotating internship at Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN where she met her idol, Carrie Underwood! Dr. Wolfe then went on to Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Vienna, VA where she completed an intensive and rigorous one-year surgical internship prior to joining Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists (CVSS) in 2018. Dr. Wolfe completed a three-year surgical residency with CVSS in June 2022 and remained on staff with CVSS. She passed the American College of Veterinary Surgeons board examination in 2023 and carries diplomate status. Dr. Wolfe enjoys all aspects of veterinary surgery but especially enjoys seeing her patient’s quality of life improve once healed from surgery.

During her free time away from the clinic, Dr. Wolfe enjoys spending time outdoors with her three German Shepherds- Allie, Jaxx and Koda, as well as her perfect mixed breed dog Lucky. She enjoys hiking, running, biking, kayaking, and spending time on the water either on a boat or going “crabbing”. She has a handsome cat named Connor that she rescued as well. Dr. Wolfe enjoys watching sports and is an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan.
