Oncologic Surgery

If your pet has received a diagnosis of cancer, our surgeons are here for you and your pet.  We treat, and in many cases, cure pets with cancerous tumors of the skin, muscle, bone, lungs, heart and abdominal organs. Board-Certified Veterinarians have advanced training in the removal of tumors and any reconstruction of tissues needed after the tumor is removed.  We can help your pet live a healthier, higher quality of life after cancer.

Oncologic Surgeries performed at CVSS include:

  • Rectal/anal
  • Soft tissue sarcomas (tissue, bone or muscle)
  • Splenic (spleen)

Our surgeons are specialists who have received extensive training after veterinary school and are referred to as “Diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons” (abbreviated DACVS or DACVS-SA [Small Animal]) or “board-certified veterinary surgeons”.  Our Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeons have experience and training in advanced surgical procedures, including thoractic surgery.  Read more about our Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeons.
